The M.I. Chat Room

How It Works:

The M.I. Chat Room is only available to registered members of MusiciansIndex.com. After Entering you will have several choices available to make your chat experience as fun and safe as possible. Please read the rules below and review the Terms of Service to make sure you understand them completely before proceeding.

Please Note: We are constantly monitoring and if you do not follow the rules we reserve the right to ban your account and block you from returning.

1. Choose A Channel:
You can choose between four Channels: Public, Lounge, Pool, and Bar.  We ask that if you are looking to chat with the General MusicianIndex.com Community, to please stay in the Public Channel.  Otherwise for more private conversation try to use one of the other channels where there may currently be less members.

2. Private Channels:
By clicking on a members' username in the 'Online Users' window, you will find several choices to activate exclusive private conversation or messages between you and those selected.

Send Private Message:  You must first choose the member in the 'Online Users' list. Then click on the "Send private message" link, and type your message after the code (/msg username). This will send the private message just one (1) time to that member. The message sent in the chat window will be shown as a "whispers to username" which confirms only you and the chosen member have seen the message.
Note: If you receive a Private Message from a user and wish to reply privately as well, you must first choose that member and follow the procedure above before sending the message. It's basically a one way street for each member.

Send Private Action: Works the same way as sending a Private Message. You don't really need to use this option if you are already using the 'Send Private Message' option.

Open Private Channel: Works the same as sending a Private Message, except now you are opening a Channel to the chosen 'Online User'. Every message you write to the chosen member will be private until you either:
1. choose a different User to open a Private Channel with
2. choose the 'Close Private Channel' link for that member.
Note: If you receive a Private Message from a user and wish to reply privately as well, you must first choose that member and follow the procedure above before sending the message. It's basically a one way street for each member.

Basic Rules For M.I. Chat Room:

1. Excessive Profanity is prohibited

2. There will be no bashing, hate crime, prejudice remarks or name calling allowed.

3. You are not allowed to share personal information such as age, phone number, physical addresses and email addresses.

4. You cannot solicit any business opportunities other than Music Industry related and the opportunities MusicianIndex.com offers to it's members.
